We use drones to do reconnaissance, bird moving and bird scaring. Ideally we can land the drone in areas that we can’t get a line of sight on. That way the birds tend to not land where the drone is placed. There reaction is not that predictable, some will come and have a look from a higher vantage point. Some will simply leave. But it does change the dynamic when it comes to out of the way birds that we can’t get a line of sight on.

Recon

Reconnaissance is sometimes the only way we can get an overall picture of how many birds might be around. Often what we see is not a very good picture of how many birds are onsite. Using a drone can help get them up in the air to better understand the numbers and problem.

Corellas

No so keen on shooting native Corellas! Perhaps bird scaring is the next best alternative? This can be one of the main options when trying to keep the flock moving.
